The Production house quoted, “That chapter is over. Now, we have Diljit, Varun and Arjun in the film. Varun and Arjun are best of friends, and Diljit is fantastic at comedy. So, I think this makes for a good and interesting combination.”
No Entry originally starred Salman Khan Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan and was a box office success. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film also featured Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley. There have long been reports that the makers were trying to mount the sequel with Salman and Anil reprising their roles.
On multiple occasions, Bazmee and Boney Kapoor had also shared that they were ready with a script and were waiting for the stars to give them a go-ahead. Now the team states, “While, the male actors and Bazmee are locked, the 10 female leads are yet to be cast in the film.”
Boney Kapoor confirmed that No Entry 2 is finally happening, with a new cast. “The film is on cards, and we are set for it. It is a big one and we will probably start rolling by December this year. We have got Varun, Arjun and Diljit. There will be a lot of actresses as well.”
No Entry will complete 20 years in 2025, which is when the makers hope to release the film. While the original was a movie about philandering men, it is reported that the sequel will feature double roles of Varun, Diljit and Arjun.
Currently, the producer is gearing up for the release of his next Maidaan. The Amit Ravindernath Sharma directorial is a biopic based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, played by Ajay Devgn. The film is set to release on April 10.
