The symptoms of Dengue are listed such as high fever followed by severe headache, muscle and joint pain, anxiousness, nausea followed by vomiting, tastelessness, tiny dots/rashes on the upper part of the body, bloating, fatigue, weakness, etc. These cases are usually found in children and mild cases amongst adults.

However, in serious cases, symptoms like extremely high fever persist in patients. These are divided into two parts, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHS) and Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS). DHS shows signs like yellowish/pale skin, nose, and mouth bleeding, severe loss of appetite, decreasing platelet count, sore throat, and breathlessness. DSS, on the other hand, shows symptoms like normal dengue signs along with low blood pressure, low pulse rate, cold hands and feet, severe stomach ache, etc. If similar symptoms are visible in a person and have a fever from the past 4 to 5 days, they should immediately go for a Dengue test and keep themselves safe.
