According to police, the accused, who was apparently in a inebriated state, approached the victim to buy him biryani. When the latter refused, he stabbed him 55 times, slit his throat and dragged his body through the street.
The disturbing details of the killing in Janta Mazdoor Colony on Tuesday were captured on CCTV, revealing the chilling incident. The 2 minutes 23 seconds video footage additionally depicts the accused threatening people in his close proximity.
In an official statement by Deputy Commissioner of Police, “We have apprehended the accused, who is a juvenile, and his crime has also been captured by CCTV cameras. We will surely request the court to consider the crime in the rarest of rare category.”
A police official further stared that, “We have already recovered the weapon used for murder. We are investigating from where he procured the knife. He was seen dancing while doing the gruesome act. A person tried to open a door to see what was happening, but the accused threatened him by brandishing a knife.”
