The wound is so fresh that whenever we hear the name Hafiz Saeed, our blood boils. However, on October 1, a few “unknown men” surprised the entire nation by killing the 26/11 mastermind’s aide. One of the closest aides of Hafiz Saeed, Mufti Qaiser Farooq, was gunned down in Karachi. Shot in the back, he was immediately rushed to hospital by the locals, but he succumbed to the injury.
Widely known as Qaiser Farooq, he was one of the most wanted leaders of the Pakistan terror organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, the “targeted attack” took place in proximity to a religious institution in the Samanabad area on Saturday which killed the 30-year-old militant. The news went viral after a CCTV footage circulated on social media.

The video of Lashkar terrorist Qaiser Farooq shot dead in Karachi comes days after claims that Hafiz Saeed’s son has gone missing and that the ISI has been unable to locate him. Kamaluddin Saeed, one of the sons of the most wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed, has been missing since Tuesday (September 26). Kamaluddin Saeed was reportedly abducted in Peshawar by miscreants who came in a car.

According to media reports from Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed, a Pakistani national, and 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind, is currently lodged in jail. The internationally designated terrorist killed more than 166 people. The operation was led by 10 militants who were trained in their home country and reached here via sea route on the 26th of November, 2008. They laid more than 60-hour siege in the financial capital of India during which they targeted the city’s landmarks Taj Hotel, a hospital, the Jewish center, and Mumbai’s CST Railway Station – among others.
The “unknown men” in action have not been identified yet. Also, the source who circulated the footage is yet to be disclosed.
