The government has announced the nominees for the National Creators Award 2024. These awards aim to recognise the contribution of digital content creators that drive positive social change and innovation. Over 200 content creators have been nominated across 22 categories in the in inaugural edition of the awards.

Prime Minister Modi had said that the National Creators Award would honour the talent of youngsters and highlight how they are driving innovation and igniting change. “Social media has helped a lot in showcasing people’s skills and talents. Youngsters in India are doing wonders in the field of content creation. To honor their talent, the National Creators Award has been initiated.”

The National Creators Award will be conferred in over 20 categories, including Best Storyteller Award, Best Creator of Social Change Award, Best Creator in The Food Category, Tech Creator Award, Heritage Fashion Icon Award, Most Creative Creator, International Creator Award and several more.
- The Most Creative Creator (Female) category has a stellar lineup of content creators like RJ Karishma, Dharna Durga, Shraddha and Niharika NM.
- Heritage Fashion Icon Award category has nominees like Komal Pandey, Kritika Khurana and Masoom Minawala Mehta as fashion influencers.
- Best Creator in Food Category again saw several well-known YouTubers like Nisha Madhulika, Sanjyot Keer and Kabita’s Kitchen make the cut.
- Category for Celebrity Creators has nominees like Kangana Ranaut, Aman Gupta, Jackie Shroff, Yash, Nikhil Kamath, Sadhguru, Ranvir Shorey, Katrina Kaif, Kunal Kapur and Sunil Chhetri.

Terms & Conditions
- Nominee must be 18 years and above with Indian nationality having content published on digital platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, ShareChat, Koo, Roposo, or Moj.
- Creators can self-nominate in a maximum of three categories. Those nominating others can nominate in all 20 categories in English or any other Indian language.
- Nominations will be evaluated based on creativity, impact, reach, innovation, sustainability, and alignment with the goals of the Award.
- Participants must adhere to a code of conduct that upholds the integrity and spirit of the awards. Creators must ensure their content complies with the legal and community standards of the platforms on which they are published.
- The decision of the Jury will be final in determining the winners. No appeals or re-evaluations will be entertained. The number of followers or subscribers will be considered as of 9th February 2024.
Conclusion
The awards were announced last month through the government’s citizen engagement platform, MyGov. Citizens could nominate their favourite content creators in over 20 categories till February 21. Content creators could also nominate themselves.
