The war like situation in Israel doesn’t seem to fade soon and the foreign nationals stuck in the country are calling for help in every possible way.

Bollywood diva Nushrratt Bharuccha, who recently went to Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival, has been stuck in the country. Amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, the actor’s team cannot contact and trace her since Saturday afternoon.

The current situation is not good, and there is a war-like situation in Israel. In such a situation, the Indian Embassy has asked its citizens to remain alert. Israeli local authorities have advised that please exercise caution, avoid unnecessary movement, and stay close to safety shelters.

Hamas, a Palestinian organization has attacked Israel. The Israeli army is facing Hamas fighters on many fronts. At present about 18 thousand Indians are present in Israel. The Indian Embassy has issued a helpline number and an email to reach out to its citizens.

As per the official data, around 500 people have died since yesterday, and over 1700 are injured. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his stunned nation in a televised address that the war against the militant group Hamas, which launched a surprise incursion into Israel, will “take time.”

According to Israel’s President, “The IDF (army) is about to use all its force to destroy Hamas’s capabilities. We’ll strike them to the bitter end and avenge this black day they brought on Israel and its people with force.” The forces launched “Operation Swords of Iron”, striking a number of targets in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas fighters fired thousands of rockets and breached Gaza’s security barrier, attacking nearby Israeli towns and military posts. They also opened fire on residents and passersby. The group labeled its attack “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” and called on “resistance fighters in the West Bank” as well as in “Arab and Islamic nations” to join the battle. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said the group was on the “verge of a great victory”.

The Indian government has shown solidarity with the victims in Israel. As per the Prime Minister‘s official X account, “Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour.”

Meanwhile, Nushrat Bahrucha has safely reached Israel’s international airport with the help of Indian diplomats and will soon board a connecting flight to her home country.

The Bollywood actor’s team stated that her last conversation with them was on Saturday afternoon when she was stuck in a basement with others. But later today early morning, Indian Standard Time, the team somehow managed to contact Nushrat with the help of the Indian Embassy and will soon board a connecting flight.

The team further added that they do not have the authority to share any more details until she reaches India safely. Moreover, Indian Embassy delegates are trying their best to take out other Indian nationals from the warzone.
