To pay tribute to this day, the government is holding participatory events around the country that aim to inform everyone, particularly young children, about the tale of the Sahibzades’ noteworthy courage.
The Prime Minister of India stated that, This is a fitting tribute to the courage of the Sahibzades and their quest for justice. Veer Baal Diwas will be on the same day Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji attained martyrdom after being sealed alive in a wall. These two greats preferred death instead of deviating from the noble principles of Dharma.
A digital exhibition chronicling the Sahibzades’ life story and sacrifice will be presented in schools and daycare facilities around the country.
A film on ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ will also be played around the country. There will also be competitions online such as interactive quizzes organised through the MYBharat and MyGov portals.
