On this special occasion, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to reflect on the profound contributions of Vajpayee to the country and express gratitude for his exemplary leadership.
He also shared a 1.26-minute-long video based on the life of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The video showed various phases of Vajpayee’s life with a running commentary by PM Modi in the background.
President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several other dignitaries also paid their floral tributes to Vajpayee on his birth anniversary.
Our former Prime Minister, Atal Ji’s journey in politics spanned several decades, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping India’s destiny. Vajpayee was known for his oratory skills, captivating the nation with his eloquence and wisdom.
He emphasized the importance of inclusive governance and the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, Development for all) that Vajpayee championed throughout his tenure.
Beyond politics, he was a distinguished poet, showcasing the multifaceted personality that endeared him to people across the spectrum. Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, and died on August 16, 2018.
