Hurun India and 360 ONE Wealth released the 360 ONE Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023, where the list refers to individuals residing or born and bred in India, marking its 12th addition to the annual ranking of rich people.
This year India’s Richest Person Award went to Mukesh Ambani and his family with a total net worth of Rs. 8, 08,700 crores. The second spot was taken by Gautam Adani and his Family with a net worth of Rs. 4,74,800 crores whereas the third spot was filled by Cyrus Poonawala and his Family with a total net worth of Rs. 2,78,500 crores.

As per the official data, Adani, 61, has risen from 6th in 2019 to 2nd spot in 2023, with his wealth marking a five-fold increase. Ambani’s wealth has grown 2.1 times while Poonawalla and his family’s wealth tripled in the last five years thus retaining last year’s spot. HCL Tech’s Shiv Nadar, 78, retained the fourth spot on the list as his wealth increased 23% in the last year.

Zepto founder Kaivalya Vohra, 20, is the youngest individual on the list, while, Mahendra Ratilal Mehta of Precision Wires India company debuted on the list at the age of 94. Zoho’s Radha Vembu overtook Falguni Nayar of Nykaa to become the richest self-made Indian woman on the list. Meanwhile, Confluent founder Neha Narkhede, 38, is the youngest self-made woman on the list.
One of the standout findings of this year’s list is that a remarkable 1,319 individuals boast a net worth exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, an increase of 219 individuals, including 278 new entrants. Breaking new ground, this year’s cumulative wealth of the 360 ONE Wealth Hurun India Rich listers has surged to an impressive Rs 109 lakh crore, surpassing the combined GDP of Singapore, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
